The morning was quiet when little Ronaldo woke up from his nap.

He opened his sleepy eyes and immediately looked around for Mom.

But she wasn’t beside him.

Ronaldo waited for a few moments, hoping she would appear.

Nothing.

His tiny lips began to tremble.

“Mama…”

His voice was soft at first.

Then his emotions suddenly overwhelmed him.

“WAAAAAH!”

Ronaldo began crying loudly, stretching both little arms toward the doorway.

He wasn’t hungry.

He didn’t want a toy.

He simply wanted Mom’s affection.

Mom was nearby preparing his bottle, but she could hear every cry.

“I’m coming, my sweetheart,” she called.

Ronaldo couldn’t wait.

His tears rolled down his little cheeks as he continued calling for her.

“Mama! Mama!”

Dad came over and gently rubbed his back.

“Mommy is almost here.”

But Ronaldo kept reaching toward the doorway.

He wanted the warmth of Mom’s arms.

He wanted her gentle voice.

He wanted to feel safe against her chest.

Finally, Mom walked into the room.

The moment Ronaldo saw her, his crying became even louder.

He stretched both arms toward her with all his strength.

Mom immediately picked him up.

“Oh, my precious baby,” she whispered.

Ronaldo buried his face against her shoulder and held onto her tightly.

His loud sobs slowly became quiet sniffles.

Mom gently rocked him back and forth, softly stroking his little head.

“I’m right here. Mommy has you.”

Ronaldo slowly relaxed.

His tiny fingers remained tightly wrapped around Mom’s shirt, as if he was afraid she might disappear again.

Mom kissed his forehead.

“You never have to cry alone, sweetheart.”

Dad smiled as he watched them.

“He wasn’t asking for anything complicated.”

“He just wanted his Mommy.”

Mom nodded lovingly.

“Sometimes a little affection is all a baby needs.”

After several minutes of cuddling, Ronaldo’s tears completely disappeared.

Mom offered him his warm bottle while keeping him safely in her arms.

He drank peacefully, occasionally looking up at her face.

When the bottle was empty, he gave a tiny satisfied sigh and rested his head against her chest.

His eyelids became heavy.

Mom continued gently rocking him.

Soon, Ronaldo drifted into a peaceful sleep, still holding onto her shirt.

Mom smiled and whispered,

“Whenever you need me, my little boy, I’ll be here.”

And in the warmth of Mom’s loving embrace, Ronaldo finally felt calm, safe, and completely comforted.
