It was a busy morning at home, and little Ronaldo was already in a very moody mood.
Mom had prepared his breakfast and placed everything neatly on the table.
But Ronaldo didn’t want to sit quietly.
He pushed his little bowl away.
Then he grabbed a toy and tossed it onto the floor.
Mom gently picked it up.
“Ronaldo, please don’t throw your things.”
Ronaldo looked at her for a moment.
Then he picked up another toy and threw it again.
Mom took a deep breath.
“Ronaldo, that’s enough.”
But the little monkey wasn’t finished.
He began making loud protesting sounds and kicking his tiny feet against the floor.
Mom’s patience started to disappear.
She knelt down in front of him and spoke firmly.
“Ronaldo, Mommy loves you, but that behavior isn’t okay.”
Ronaldo looked away stubbornly.
Mom continued, “You can’t throw things just because you’re upset. If you want something, you need to show Mommy calmly.”
The little monkey became quiet.
His angry expression slowly changed into a worried one.
He looked back at Mom.
She wasn’t yelling at him.
She was simply trying to teach him.
Mom gently held his little hands.
“I know you have big feelings. It’s okay to be upset. But it’s not okay to hurt people, throw things, or refuse everything Mommy asks.”
Ronaldo’s eyes became watery.
He lowered his head.
For the first time that morning, he seemed to understand that Mom was disappointed.
Mom softened her voice.
“I don’t want to be angry with you, sweetheart. I want you to learn.”
Ronaldo slowly reached toward her.
Mom opened her arms.
He immediately crawled into her lap and rested his head against her chest.
His earlier anger had disappeared.
He gave a tiny sniffle.
Mom gently stroked his head.
“Can we try again?”
Ronaldo nodded slightly.
Mom smiled.
“Good boy.”
She helped him pick up the toys he had thrown onto the floor.
This time, Ronaldo cooperated.
He carefully placed each toy back where it belonged.
Dad watched from nearby and smiled.
“Looks like someone learned an important lesson.”
Mom kissed Ronaldo’s forehead.
“Making mistakes doesn’t make you a bad baby. Learning from them is what matters.”
Ronaldo looked up at her and gave a tiny smile.
Then he reached for his breakfast again.
This time, he sat quietly beside Mom.
The difficult morning had finally become peaceful.
Mom knew there would probably be more tantrums in the future.
Ronaldo was still learning how to control his emotions.
But every lesson, every gentle correction, and every loving hug helped him grow a little wiser.
And as Mom cuddled her little boy after breakfast, she whispered,
“Mommy will always guide you—even when I have to be a little firm.”
Ronaldo rested comfortably in her arms, safe in the knowledge that even when Mom corrected him, her love never disappeared.
