The afternoon was filled with laughter as little Max followed Chichi around the living room.

Max adored his older friend.

Wherever Chichi went, Max happily crawled behind with a bright smile and curious eyes.

Chichi loved playing games too.

She gently rolled a colorful ball across the floor, and Max chased after it with all his tiny energy.

Soon, the game became faster.

Chichi jumped over pillows, dashed around chairs, and playfully darted from one side of the room to the other.

Little Max tried his best to keep up.

He giggled as he crawled after her.

But his tiny legs couldn’t move as quickly.

As Chichi rushed past him again, she accidentally bumped into Max a little harder than she meant to.

Max lost his balance and gently tumbled onto the soft rug.

He wasn’t hurt, but the surprise frightened him.

His tiny eyes grew wide.

His lips began to tremble.

Then…

“WAAAAAH!”

A loud, heartbreaking cry filled the house.

Big tears rolled down Max’s fluffy cheeks as he reached both little arms toward Mom.

He felt upset and left behind.

Chichi stopped immediately.

The smile disappeared from her face.

She looked at Max with worried eyes.

“I didn’t mean to,” her gentle expression seemed to say.

Mom hurried over and carefully picked Max up.

“My sweet little boy,” she whispered, gently rocking him in her arms.

Max buried his face against her shoulder, still crying loudly.

His tiny fingers clung tightly to Mom’s shirt.

Mom softly rubbed his back while giving him gentle kisses on the forehead.

“It’s okay, Max. You’re safe.”

Dad came over carrying Max’s favorite stuffed bunny.

Normally, the toy could make Max smile.

But today, he was too emotional.

He simply held onto Mom even tighter.

Meanwhile, Chichi quietly walked over.

She lowered her head and softly touched Max’s tiny foot with one finger, as if saying she was sorry.

Max peeked through his tears.

He saw Chichi looking sad.

She slowly placed the colorful ball beside him before sitting quietly on the floor.

Mom smiled kindly.

“Chichi didn’t want to hurt you.”

“She was only playing a little too fast.”

Max sniffled.

His loud cries slowly became soft little hiccups.

After a few minutes, Chichi gently rolled the ball toward him again—but this time, very slowly.

The ball stopped right beside Max’s little hand.

He looked at it.

Then at Chichi.

Finally, a tiny smile appeared on his face.

He pushed the ball back.

Chichi smiled with relief.

The game began again, but this time they played carefully, moving slowly enough for little Max to join every moment.

The room soon filled with happy giggles once more.

Dad laughed softly.

“Now everyone is having fun together.”

Mom nodded.

“The best games are the ones where everyone feels included.”

As the afternoon came to an end, Max leaned happily against Chichi while they shared a warm cuddle beside Mom.

The tears were gone.

The fear had disappeared.

Only friendship remained.

Mom kissed both little monkeys on their foreheads.

“Real friends make mistakes sometimes,” she said gently.

“But they also learn to be kind, careful, and look after one another.”

Max gave Chichi one last happy cuddle before yawning.

Wrapped in Mom’s loving arms, with Chichi sitting faithfully beside him, little Max drifted peacefully to sleep, knowing that even after a difficult moment, love, patience, and forgiveness could make every friendship stronger than before.
