The morning sunlight gently entered the room as tiny baby monkey Titas slowly opened his sleepy eyes.
He had only been awake for a few moments when his little stomach began reminding him of something very important.
Breakfast.
Titas shifted beneath his soft blanket and let out a tiny cry.
Then another.
Within seconds, his quiet whimpers became impatient little calls for Mom.
Mom heard him immediately.
“I’m coming, my little one,” she whispered as she entered the room.
The moment Titas saw her, he stretched his tiny arms toward her.
He was still so small and delicate that every day required careful attention. Mom watched everything closely—his sleep, his energy, and especially his meals.
Today, she had prepared something special.
A small bowl of warm, nutritious baby porridge.
Mom sat beside Titas and carefully tested the temperature before lifting a tiny spoonful toward his mouth.
Titas stared suspiciously at the spoon.
This wasn’t his familiar milk bottle.
He sniffed.
He tilted his head.
Then he looked directly at Mom as if asking, “What is that?”
Mom smiled.
“Just try a little.”
She gently touched the spoon to his lips.
Titas tasted the tiniest amount.
His eyes widened.
For a second, he remained completely still.
Mom waited nervously.
Would he like it?
Suddenly, Titas opened his mouth again.
Mom laughed softly.
“I suppose that means yes.”
She offered another tiny spoonful.
This time, Titas didn’t hesitate.
He swallowed eagerly and immediately leaned toward the bowl, wanting more.
One spoonful became two.
Then three.
Soon, the tiny monkey was completely focused on breakfast.
Whenever Mom took too long preparing the next bite, Titas waved his little hands impatiently and made dramatic squeaking sounds.
“Slowly,” Mom reminded him.
But patience wasn’t one of Titas’ strongest qualities.
At one point, he reached toward the spoon himself and accidentally smeared porridge across his cheek.
Mom laughed.
Titas looked confused.
He touched his sticky face and then stared at his fingers as though something terrible had happened.
For a moment, it seemed he might cry.
Mom quickly wiped his face and kissed his forehead.
“Everything is okay.”
Titas relaxed immediately.
Then his attention returned to the bowl.
More importantly—where was the next spoonful?
Mom continued feeding him slowly and carefully.
Between each bite, she watched his tiny face closely.
To anyone else, this might have looked like an ordinary breakfast.
But to Mom, every spoonful meant something more.
When Titas first came into her care, he had been so fragile that even the smallest daily routines felt uncertain.
She remembered holding his tiny body and wondering how someone so small could possibly be strong enough to face such a big world.
Yet here he was.
Eating.
Growing.
Learning.
Fighting to become stronger every day.
Finally, the bowl was empty.
Titas stared inside as though refusing to believe breakfast could possibly be finished.
Mom showed him the empty spoon.
“All gone.”
His little face immediately became disappointed.
Mom pulled him gently into her arms before a protest could begin.
With his tummy full, Titas rested his head against her chest.
His eyes slowly became heavy.
Mom stroked his soft fur while he drifted toward sleep.
There had been no grand miracle that morning.
No dramatic rescue.
Just a tiny baby, a small spoon, and a patient Mom.
But sometimes love is found in the simplest moments.
One careful spoonful at a time.
One full little tummy.
One growing baby.
And as Titas slept peacefully in Mom’s arms, she knew every small meal was helping him take another step toward a stronger tomorrow.
