Monkey Su & Mom’s Special Care for Little Kuku

It was a quiet afternoon in the jungle clearing when Monkey Su and her mother heard a faint whimpering sound. They quickly turned their attention to the little bundle lying in the shade—Kuku, Su’s younger sibling. Kuku, usually full of energy, seemed restless and uneasy.

“Oh no, is Kuku okay?” Su asked, her voice filled with concern. Her mother leaned closer, gently stroking Kuku’s tiny head. “He might have an upset tummy,” she said softly.

Determined to help, Su and her mother sprang into action. “Su, fetch some water from the stream,” her mother instructed. Su scampered off, her heart pounding with worry. She returned moments later with a small coconut shell filled with cool, clean water.

While her mother soothed Kuku with gentle pats and soft coos, Su offered the water carefully. “Here, Kuku, sip this,” she said, her small hands trembling. Kuku took a few sips, his big eyes blinking as he started to calm down.

Next, Su’s mother decided to prepare a special herbal remedy, one she had learned from her own mother. She plucked a few medicinal leaves from a nearby plant and mashed them into a paste. “This will help his tummy feel better,” she explained.

Su watched closely as her mother applied the paste to Kuku’s tiny belly, humming a soothing tune. The care and love in her actions reassured Su, who gently held Kuku’s hand. “You’re going to be okay,” she whispered, her voice full of hope.

After some time, Kuku began to perk up. His soft cries turned into quiet chirps, and he nuzzled into his mother’s arms. Su let out a sigh of relief, a big smile spreading across her face. “You did it, Mama!” she cheered.

Her mother smiled back, pulling Su into a warm hug. “We did it together, Su. Taking care of family is something we all do.”

As the sun began to set, Kuku fell into a peaceful sleep, nestled safely between his sister and mother. For Su, the day was a reminder of the special bond they all shared—a bond that made even the hardest moments feel a little easier.
