Little Ronaldo had been sitting near the edge of the table, moving around playfully while Selena stayed nearby watching him quietly.
Then suddenly—
Slip.
Tiny hands missed balance.
And Ronaldo fell down.
“THUMP!”
The sound shocked the room instantly.
Ronaldo burst into crying right away, but nearby, Selena froze completely.
She didn’t scream.
She didn’t move.
She only stared silently.
Her big eyes stayed fixed on Ronaldo lying below the table, her tiny face slowly filling with sadness and worry. The playful mood disappeared instantly from her little heart.
Poor Selena looked heartbroken just watching it happen.
Her lips trembled softly as if she wanted to cry too, but she stayed unusually quiet, processing the scary moment in silence.
Mom rushed over quickly and picked Ronaldo up immediately, comforting him gently.
“It’s okay, baby… it’s okay.”
But Selena still sat there staring sadly, looking deeply affected by seeing someone she cared about get hurt.
Her tiny shoulders lowered.
Her eyes looked soft and emotional.
Almost guilty.
Almost frightened.
Mom noticed Selena’s sad expression too and gently reached out to reassure her as well.
“Ronaldo’s okay, sweetheart.”
Only then did Selena slowly relax a little, though her tiny face still looked emotional and shaken by what she had witnessed.
Because sometimes, even babies feel sadness deeply—
Especially when they see someone close to them get hurt unexpectedly.
