Dramatic Monee Runs Around Crying for Attention

Comments Off on Dramatic Monee Runs Around Crying for Attention

The house had been peaceful for a few quiet minutes…

Until Monee decided she needed everyone’s attention.

Immediately.

Little Monee looked around and noticed Mom was busy, Daddy was distracted, and nobody was focusing completely on her.

Unacceptable.

Her tiny lips pushed forward into the biggest pout, and her eyes filled with dramatic emotion. She stood there for one second, preparing herself like the star of a very serious performance.

Then—

“AHHHHH!”

She screamed loudly and took off running across the floor.

Tiny feet moving fast.

Arms waving wildly.

Tears appearing like magic.

She ran in circles, crying louder and louder, making sure every person in the house understood that something very important was happening—

Monee wanted attention.

Now.

She wasn’t hurt.

She wasn’t hungry.

She simply needed the world to stop and admire her feelings.

“Mama! Mama!”

She shouted between sobs, throwing herself dramatically onto the floor, then getting back up to run again like a tiny emotional tornado.

Mom looked over, trying not to laugh.

“Monee… what happened now?”

That question only made Monee cry louder.

Clearly, Mom should already know.

She ran straight toward her, still sobbing, tiny hands reaching up, demanding the one thing that could solve this tragedy—

A hug.

Mom finally bent down and scooped her up.

And just like magic…

The storm began to disappear.

Her loud screams turned into soft sniffles as she buried her face into Mom’s shoulder, suddenly peaceful and perfectly fine.

Victory.

Mom kissed her head softly. “Such a dramatic girl.”

And Monee, now safely held, looked completely innocent.

Because sometimes, for a little one with a big personality—

Attention isn’t just wanted.

It’s an emergency.
