Little Obedian had been playing all by himself, full of curious energy and tiny adventures. With no one nearby, every corner became something new to explore.
The grass.
The toys.
The old wooden fence.
That fence looked especially interesting.
Obedian waddled closer, touching it with his small hands, peeking through the spaces as if there were secrets waiting on the other side. He wanted to see more.
Maybe he could squeeze through.
Maybe he could climb.
To his little mind, it seemed like a brilliant idea.
So he tried.
One tiny leg up.
Then another.
At first, he looked proud, determined, almost like a tiny explorer on a mission.
But then—
He got stuck.
His little body shifted awkwardly between the fence rails, and suddenly he couldn’t move the way he wanted. His brave adventure turned into panic.
“Ahhh!”
He cried out, struggling and wiggling, trying to free himself. His tiny hands pushed against the wood, but it only made him more frustrated.
He was trapped.
Alone.
And now scared.
Tears filled his eyes as his cries grew louder. The quiet yard was no longer fun—it felt too big and lonely.
“Mom! Mom!”
His voice shook with fear.
Inside the house, Mom heard the panic immediately.
She rushed outside and froze at the sight.
“Obedian!”
There he was, stuck at the fence, looking so small and helpless.
She hurried over, gently calming him first. “It’s okay… don’t move too much, baby.”
With careful hands, she slowly helped lift and guide him back through.
Free.
The moment he was safe, Obedian clung tightly to her, still sniffling.
Because sometimes, lonely little adventures turn into scary lessons—
And the safest place afterward is always back in Mom’s arms.
