Little Ronaldo was not happy.

Mom had gently placed him on the bed, soft blankets around him, telling him to wait just for a moment while she finished her work.

But to Ronaldo, “just a moment” felt like forever.

The second Mom stepped away, his tiny face changed.

His lips pushed forward.

His eyes filled with tears.

And then—

“AHHHH!”

A loud, dramatic cry exploded through the room.

Ronaldo threw his little hands up, kicking his tiny legs against the bed in pure protest. He didn’t want to wait.

He didn’t want to be alone.

He wanted Mom.

Now.

“Mama! Mama!”

His voice cracked between sobs as he rolled slightly on the bed, looking toward the door like she might magically appear faster if he cried louder.

His face turned red.

His body shook.

His whole tiny heart felt abandoned.

To him, being left on the bed alone wasn’t rest—

It was heartbreak.

He cried harder, louder, determined to make sure the entire house knew exactly how unfair this moment was.

And of course—

Mom heard.

She rushed back quickly, hearing the pain in his voice.

“Oh, Ronaldo…” she said softly.

The moment he saw her, he cried even louder, reaching out dramatically with both arms like a tiny king demanding immediate rescue.

Without hesitation, she picked him up.

Instantly, the storm began to calm.

He buried his face into her shoulder, still sniffling, still offended, but safe now.

Mom rocked him gently. “You thought I left you forever, didn’t you?”

Ronaldo clung tighter.

Because for a little one, even five minutes alone can feel like the end of the world—

And sometimes, all they need is proof that Mom always comes back.
