Ronaldo Cries for Mom’s Attention

Comments Off on Ronaldo Cries for Mom’s Attention

The house was calm… until Ronaldo decided it shouldn’t be.

Little Ronaldo sat in the middle of the room, watching Mom move around, busy with her work. At first, he waited quietly, hoping she would notice him.

She didn’t.

That was enough.

His tiny lips pushed forward into a dramatic pout, his eyes growing shiny with emotion. He stretched one little hand toward her.

“Mama…”

Still busy.

Still no full attention.

And then—

The performance began.

“AHHHH!”

Ronaldo threw his head back and cried loudly, his voice echoing through the entire house. Tears appeared almost instantly, rolling down his cheeks like he had suffered the greatest heartbreak in the world.

He dropped to the floor dramatically.

Rolling.

Kicking.

Screaming louder.

His tiny body twisted as if no one had ever been more ignored than him in that moment. He wasn’t hurt. He wasn’t hungry.

He simply wanted Mom.

All of Mom.

Right now.

“Mama! Mama!” his cries seemed to shout between sobs.

Anyone watching would think the world was ending.

But Mom knew better.

She turned around slowly, trying not to smile. “Ronaldo… really?” she asked softly.

He cried louder.

Clearly, yes—really.

With a sigh full of love, she walked over and knelt beside him. The second she reached out, his crying somehow became even more dramatic, just for effect.

He reached for her immediately.

She picked him up.

And just like magic…

The storm began to disappear.

His sobs turned into tiny sniffles as he buried his face against her shoulder, holding tightly like he had been rescued from disaster.

Mom gently rocked him. “Such a dramatic little boy,” she whispered.

And Ronaldo, finally victorious, relaxed happily.

Because sometimes, being the most dramatic monkey in the world is simply the fastest way to get the warmest hug.
