Little Max was sitting on the floor when suddenly he started feeling hungry. His tiny tummy rumbled, and he immediately thought about his favorite thing—snacks.
Max looked around the room.
But Mom wasn’t there with food yet.
At first, he made small whining sounds. “Eh… eh…” His big eyes searched toward the door, hoping Mom would appear with something tasty.
When she didn’t come right away, Max’s mood quickly changed.
Suddenly—
“EEEEEE!”
Max burst into a loud dramatic cry. His voice echoed across the room as he threw his tiny hands into the air. The little monkey rolled slightly on the floor and kicked his feet in a full tantrum.
He was clearly demanding snacks.
“Eeeee! Eeee!”
Max cried louder and louder, calling for Mom again and again. His face turned red with frustration as he pointed toward the kitchen like he was trying to remind everyone where the snacks were kept.
It was a very dramatic performance.
Finally, Mom heard the noisy tantrum from the other room. She walked in holding a small snack for him.
The moment Max saw it, everything changed.
His crying suddenly stopped.
His wide eyes focused on the snack, and his dramatic face quickly turned into an excited smile. Max immediately reached out both hands to grab it.
Mom handed it to him gently.
Within seconds, the loud tantrum was completely gone. Max sat quietly munching on his snack, acting like nothing had happened.
Sometimes little Max can be very dramatic—but usually, all he really wants is a tasty snack and Mom’s attention.
