The sky turned dark as the seasonal rain suddenly began to fall. Tiny drops quickly turned into a steady shower, tapping softly on the ground and leaves. In the middle of it all were the twin baby monkeys, Selena and Ronaldo.
Selena sat close to her brother, her small body slightly trembling as the cool rain touched her fur. Beside her, Ronaldo looked up at the falling water with wide, confused eyes. Neither of them expected the rain to come so quickly.
The twins huddled together, their tiny bodies pressing close for warmth. Selena wrapped one arm around Ronaldo as if trying to protect him. Meanwhile, Ronaldo blinked repeatedly as droplets landed on his head and face. The rain felt strange and cold.
For a moment, they both let out soft cries, calling for their mother.
The sound of the rain grew heavier, and the ground became wet beneath them. Selena shifted closer, almost climbing onto Ronaldo’s lap. Even though they were both small and scared, they tried to comfort each other the best they could.
Then suddenly, footsteps rushed toward them.
Mom appeared quickly, worried when she saw the twins sitting under the rain. Without hesitation, she picked them both up—Selena in one arm and Ronaldo in the other. The babies clung tightly to her, their tiny fingers gripping her fur and clothes.
Mom wrapped them close to her chest, shielding them from the cold rain. Slowly, their crying stopped. Selena rested her head on Mom’s shoulder, while Ronaldo closed his eyes, finally feeling warm again.
The rain continued falling outside, but the twins were safe.
Under Mom’s care, the cold, scary moment became just another memory—one where love protected them from the storm.
