Mommy… Please,” Selena Whispers for More Milk

“Mommy…!” Baby Selena cried softly, her tiny voice trembling as she reached out with weak hands. Her eyes were wide and shiny, filled with need and trust. She had already drunk some milk, but it wasn’t enough. Her small stomach still ached, and hunger made her feel scared. To Selena, milk wasn’t just food. It was comfort, safety, and love.

She shifted restlessly, letting out little cries that grew louder when mom paused. Every movement of the bottle caught her attention. Her lips trembled, and she smacked them gently, hoping mom would understand. Selena didn’t know words like more or enough. She only knew the feeling inside her chest that said she still needed help.

Mom watched closely, checking Selena’s breathing, her belly, her eyes. She wanted to be careful, not rush, not give too much. She spoke gently, explaining in a calm voice, but Selena couldn’t understand patience yet. She cried again, louder this time, tiny fists clenching as tears rolled down her cheeks.

“Mommy… milk…” her cry seemed to say.

Mom warmed more milk slowly, testing it again and again. Selena cried through the waiting, her body shaking with urgency. Hunger made her emotional, dramatic, and desperate. Every second felt too long. She kicked her feet lightly, then reached out again, begging.

Finally, mom lifted her and offered the bottle. Selena latched instantly, drinking eagerly. The crying stopped almost at once. With each swallow, her body relaxed. Her shoulders dropped. Her breathing slowed. Milk dribbled slightly from the corner of her mouth as relief washed over her.

After a while, Selena slowed down on her own. Her eyes blinked heavily. She pulled back, satisfied at last, and rested her head against mom’s chest. Her tiny hand curled around a finger, holding tight.

That moment said everything. Selena didn’t cry because she was spoiled. She cried because she trusted. She knew mommy would listen.

And mommy did.
