Lil Jasmine’s Dramatic Hunger Cry

Comments Off on Lil Jasmine’s Dramatic Hunger Cry

Little Jasmine lay sprawled across the soft bed, her tiny body wiggling like a restless worm, eyes squeezed shut as she let out the most dramatic moaning anyone could imagine. She wasn’t hurt, she wasn’t sleepy — she was hungry, and she wanted Mom to know right now. The room echoed with her little whimpers turning into long, stretched-out moans, as if the world was ending because food hadn’t appeared fast enough.

Mom stood nearby preparing her meal, but Jasmine didn’t care about patience. Her little hands reached into the air, then dropped to her tummy, rubbing as though to say, “Mommy, I’m starving!” Every second that passed felt like forever to her tiny heart. She rolled side to side, kicked her feet dramatically, then paused only to let out an even louder, more emotional sound — the kind that demanded attention.

Her big round eyes peeked open between cries, checking if Mom was watching. When she saw she was, the performance doubled. She pouted, moaned louder, even threw her arms back as if fainting from hunger. It was impossible not to laugh — she was tiny, but her attitude was bigger than the entire room.

Finally, Mom came with the bottle of milk. Jasmine’s entire world changed instantly. Her cries stopped like someone pressed pause. She sat up, grabbed the bottle with both hands, and began to drink with deep satisfaction, big eyes still watery but calming with every sip. She suckled fast, almost urgently, as if she feared the milk might disappear.

Mom gently stroked her head while Jasmine relaxed, tiny breaths slowing, cheeks full like little balloons. A few minutes later, she curled into Mom’s lap, content and cozy, milk dribbles at the corner of her mouth. The dramatic princess was peaceful now — all she needed was food, warmth, and love.
