The two newborn baby monkeys lay on their soft towel, still tiny, pink, and fragile. Their diapers had just been cleaned, and even though they smelled fresh and warm again, they were not interested in staying calm. The moment Mom finished wiping their bottoms and folding the new diaper into place, both babies began wriggling with impatience.
Tiny fists balled up.
Little legs kicking.
Mouths wide open in desperate cries.
They were hungry—very hungry.
Mom gently lifted the first newborn, supporting the tiny head with all her care. But the moment the baby realized the bottle wasn’t coming fast enough, he let out a long, shaky wail. His sibling lying beside him immediately joined the chorus, crying as if the whole world had forgotten them.
Mom worked quickly, shaking the warm formula and testing it on her wrist. The sound of the bottle moving made both babies instantly freeze, their big eyes glowing with hope. Their cries softened into soft whimpers as they reached their tiny hands up, trying to pull the bottle closer.
Finally, the nipple touched the first newborn’s lips. He latched instantly—so strong for such a tiny body—gulping greedily, tiny ears twitching with each swallow. Milk dribbled from the corners of his mouth, but he refused to let go.
His little sibling squirmed and squeaked, waiting for their turn, but Mom stroked the tiny chest and whispered softly, calming the small trembling body. Within moments, the second bottle arrived, and the cries disappeared instantly.
Now both newborns drank side by side, warm, safe, and finally satisfied. Their eyes fluttered closed, hands relaxing, tiny bellies filling with comfort.
They might not understand the world yet, but they already knew the two things that mattered most—
a clean, warm diaper and a full belly of milk from Mom.
