Nika Shakes in Tears, Begging Mom Not to Leave

Tiny baby monkey Nika had always been sensitive, but this morning her emotions were stronger than ever. The sun had barely risen, and the soft light reached into the little room where Nika lay curled in a blanket. Mom stood up to go prepare her morning milk, expecting her baby to wait peacefully for a few minutes. But the moment Nika felt Mom move away, panic quickly filled her entire little body.

Her eyes widened, and she stretched out both tiny arms desperately, whimpering quietly at first. When Mom continued walking, Nika began to shake and let out a heartbreaking cry. It was the kind of sound that made it impossible for anyone not to turn back. Tears rolled from her small eyes as she trembled, terrified of being alone even for a short moment.

Nika didn’t understand that Mom was just going to get milk. In her tiny world, the only thing she knew was that Mom was her warmth, her safety, and her whole universe. Being left alone felt like the world was falling apart. She pushed herself toward the edge of the blanket, kicking her legs and calling out with all her strength, begging Mom to come back.

Mom heard the cries immediately. She rushed back to Nika and picked her up gently, holding the trembling baby against her chest. Nika grabbed onto her fur and buried her face into Mom’s shoulder, still sniffling but calming slowly as her breathing matched the rhythm of Mom’s heartbeat.

Mom stroked her back softly, whispering as if Nika could understand every word. “It’s okay… I’m here… Mommy didn’t leave you.”

Nika closed her eyes, holding on tightly. Right now, she didn’t need milk or toys. She only needed Mom’s arms, where she felt loved, safe, and never alone.
