Ronaldo Cries & Pushes Mom Away

Comments Off on Ronaldo Cries & Pushes Mom Away

Newborn baby Ronaldo was usually soft, gentle, and easy to comfort, but today everything felt different. His tiny body was restless, his breathing fast, and his cries were louder than usual. Lying on his back on the soft blanket, he suddenly threw a full tantrum, pushing his arms and legs in every direction as if the whole world had upset him.

When Mom reached out to pick him up, hoping to calm him, Ronaldo surprised her. Instead of clinging to her like he normally would, he arched his back sharply and cried even harder. His little hands pushed against her chest, his face turning red from frustration. He didn’t want to be carried. He didn’t want to be held. He didn’t want anything except to scream out his confusion and discomfort.

It wasn’t anger directed at Mom — it was just newborn frustration, the kind too big for such a tiny body. Maybe he felt too hungry. Maybe the air felt cold on his skin. Maybe he had woken up too quickly. Whatever it was, his emotions exploded at once, and he rejected every comforting touch.

Mom stayed patient. She sat beside him, gently rubbing his chest in slow circles. She whispered softly, letting him cry as long as he needed. Ronaldo kept arching his back, head tipping backward, mouth wide open as the tantrum continued. But even in his loudest moments, Mom didn’t move away. She stayed close, letting him know she was right there.

Slowly, his cries softened. His breathing began to settle. The wild kicking eased into tiny jerks, then into a trembling calm. Ronaldo’s eyes blinked open, still wet with tears, as if realizing he had exhausted all his energy.

Mom tried again — this time moving slower. She placed one hand under his head, the other beneath his body. Ronaldo didn’t resist. He let her lift him, his body limp and tired from crying. She brought him close to her chest, and finally, his head rested peacefully against her.

The tantrum was over.
The backward crying stopped.
And Mom’s warmth became the one thing he no longer pushed away.

In her arms, Ronaldo breathed softly, his earlier resistance fading into trust. No matter how big his emotions were, he now understood—Mom would never leave him, even on the hardest days.
