Little Bunny was usually all smiles — sweet, clingy, and happiest when held tight in her dad’s arms. But this morning, things didn’t go her way. Dad was busy helping another baby monkey, and when Bunny reached up her little hands to be carried, he gently told her to wait.
That one small word — wait — broke her tiny heart.
Her big round eyes filled with tears, and before anyone could stop her, Bunny let out a loud wail that shook the whole room. “Eeee! Eeee! EEEEE!” she cried, stomping her feet and puffing her cheeks in pure frustration. Her soft ears twitched angrily as she threw herself on the ground, rolling back and forth in a dramatic tantrum only a baby monkey could pull off.
Julie, who was nearby, crossed her little arms and turned away, refusing to carry Bunny herself. “No, she’s too naughty!” Julie squeaked, pretending to be strict like a grown-up. That only made Bunny cry louder, her tiny voice echoing like a song of heartbreak.
Her dad finally came over, crouching beside her. “Oh, my little Bunny,” he said softly, brushing away her tears. “No need for such a big cry. Daddy’s here now.”
Bunny sniffled, her sobs slowing. She hesitated for a moment — then reached out her trembling hands. The moment he lifted her up, she melted against his chest, hugging him tightly as if afraid he’d disappear again.
Her angry squeaks turned into soft sighs, and soon she was calm once more. Julie giggled, watching the sweet reunion.
That day, Bunny’s loudest tantrum turned into the quietest cuddle — proof that even the fiercest little hearts just want to feel safe and loved.
