Little Nana is such a tiny baby, but already she knows how to show her feelings. Today, while Mom was busy washing clothes near the water motor, Nana sat right on top of it, her little legs dangling as she pouted. She wasn’t happy at all. Instead of playing or drinking milk, she sat stubbornly with a temper, her big eyes locked on Mom, as if asking, “Why aren’t you looking at me?”
Her tiny face scrunched in frustration, and every now and then, she let out a small cry to remind Mom of her presence. But Mom’s hands were still busy scrubbing clothes. Nana’s stare grew sharper, her pout deeper, and her little hands tapped the motor as though to show her impatience.
It was both funny and pitiful—such a small baby, yet so expressive in her anger. She wanted Mom’s attention, not chores, not laundry. Her heart longed for cuddles, milk, and warmth.
Finally, Mom looked over, noticing her little girl’s serious temper. She couldn’t help but smile. “Oh, Nana,” she whispered, setting aside the washing for a moment. She walked over and gently picked up the tiny baby from the water motor.
The moment Nana felt Mom’s arms, her mood softened. She buried her face in Mom’s chest, still pouting but slowly calming down. Her eyes fluttered, and a little sigh of relief escaped her lips. All she ever wanted was to feel safe and loved.
That simple moment showed how much these little monkeys depend on their mom’s love. Even in her tiniest tantrum, Nana was really just saying, “Please don’t forget me, Mom.”
