Baby monkey Lori was usually calm, playful, and full of charm. But the moment bath time arrived, everything changed. The warm water was ready, the gentle hands were prepared, and yet, as soon as Lori’s tiny toes touched the surface, her cries filled the air.
She screamed so loudly that it echoed through the trees, her little arms waving wildly as if she were battling invisible waves. The other monkeys peeked curiously, wondering what could cause such drama. To them, the bath looked safe and gentle, but to Lori, it felt like the scariest challenge in the world.
Her mom tried to soothe her, humming softly and splashing just a little water on her fur to show it was harmless. But Lori wasn’t convinced. She kicked, wriggled, and cried with all her strength, her tiny voice carrying farther than her size should allow.
Finally, with patience and love, her caregiver scooped her close, whispering softly to calm her trembling body. Little by little, Lori’s cries slowed. Her tears turned to hiccups, and her wide eyes began to trust. Carefully, she was lowered back into the water, this time wrapped in gentle hands that made her feel safe.
The bath that had started with loud cries ended with soft splashes. Lori, though still unsure, allowed the warm water to wash over her tiny body. And when it was done, she was wrapped in a soft towel, cuddled close, her cries finally replaced by quiet sighs.
Though she had screamed louder than the forest itself, little Lori had made it through her bath—proving that even the tiniest voices can shake the world, but love can always soothe them.
