Linda’s Tantrum: The Clothes Battle with Mom

It was a bright morning, and baby monkey Linda had just finished her snack. The sun peeked through the window, the birds chirped… but peace didn’t last long.

Mom came in holding a tiny pink dress. “Come on, Linda, let’s get you dressed!”

But Linda froze. Her eyes narrowed.
She didn’t want clothes—not today.

The moment Mom reached for her, Linda backed up with a loud screech.
“EEEK! EEEEK!”

Her tiny fists clenched, and her tail twitched in defiance. She threw herself to the floor dramatically, rolling and crying, making the biggest scene the house had seen that week.

“Nooo!” her little voice wailed. “No dress!”

Mom sighed, staying calm. She tried reasoning with her. “You’ll be cold without it, sweetie.”

But Linda didn’t care about cold. She only cared about one thing: freedom from that outfit!

She kicked her legs, pounded the floor with her palms, and howled. It was full-on tantrum mode. Her face turned red, and tears streamed down her cheeks as she refused to be touched.

Finally, Mom sat down next to her with a soft voice. “Okay, no dress yet. Let’s cuddle first.”

Surprised, Linda sniffled and peeked at Mom. Slowly, she climbed into her lap. The crying eased. Her little heart still beat fast, but she felt safe again.

After a few minutes of hugs and gentle strokes, Mom whispered, “How about just the shirt for now?”

Linda blinked. Then, to Mom’s shock—she nodded.

Piece by piece, the outfit went on… no more screams, just tiny grumbles. Linda had lost the battle, but won the love she needed first.

And Mom? She smiled, knowing that sometimes patience was stronger than any tantrum.
