Dramatic Linda Cries as Mom Teaches Her to Climb

Little Linda, the baby monkey, was never a fan of challenges—especially when they involved heights. So when her mom decided today was the day she would learn to climb her first tree, the drama unfolded almost instantly.

Mom gently nudged Linda toward the tree trunk, encouraging her with loving chirps and soft pats. But Linda took one look at the rough bark and towering branches and let out a loud, dramatic cry. Her tiny hands reached out to her mom in protest, her lower lip trembling like she was about to face a great danger.

“Come on, baby. You can do this,” her mom whispered, staying right beside her.

But Linda didn’t want to do it. She stomped her little feet, sat down at the base of the tree, and wailed like the world was ending. Her cries echoed through the trees, turning heads from the other curious monkeys nearby.

Despite the heartbreak in her daughter’s cries, Mom knew she had to stay strong. She lifted Linda gently, placing her on the lowest branch. Linda clung tightly, her face pressed into her mom’s arm, tears streaking down her fluffy cheeks. She whimpered, confused and afraid.

But Mom didn’t leave her there. She supported her from underneath, whispering encouragement as Linda slowly reached for the next branch. It was wobbly, awkward, and full of sobs—but she did it. Step by tiny step.

By the end of the day, Linda wasn’t swinging through the canopy yet, but she had climbed higher than she ever had before. Her cries had faded, replaced by shy giggles as she sat in her mom’s lap, proud but exhausted.
