Tiny baby Jason had just finished his morning nap, curled up like a little peanut in his soft basket. The sun peeked through the trees, warming his fuzzy little head. All seemed peaceful—until Mom approached with that look in her eyes.

She had wipes in one hand and a fresh diaper in the other.

Jason’s eyes widened. He knew exactly what was coming.

“Nooo!” he shrieked before a single wipe had touched him. His tiny arms flailed in the air, feet kicking like he was ready for battle. As Mom gently laid him on the soft towel, Jason made his feelings very clear.

A sharp, high-pitched scream echoed through the nursery, followed by another… and another!

Mom tried to calm him with a soothing hum, but Jason was far too upset. His little fists clenched tight, eyebrows furrowed in protest. How dare she try to clean him without asking!

Mom chuckled softly as she worked quickly, whispering, “You’re so dramatic, my little star.” But Jason kept protesting, his face red and scrunched like a tomato.

The moment the fresh diaper was on and the last wipe was tossed aside, Jason let out one final squeak and then… silence. His eyes blinked slowly, and his breathing slowed.

Mom leaned down and kissed his forehead. “All clean, little wild one.”

Jason let out a tiny pout but didn’t resist as she cradled him close. The battle was over, and as Mom rocked him gently in her arms, his eyelids began to flutter closed again.
