Ricky Cries for a Hug from Mom

Little Ricky, the baby monkey with soft fur and sparkling eyes, was feeling emotional today. The sun was up, the breeze was gentle, and everything around seemed peaceful—except his tiny heart. He had just finished playing with his little toy, and all he wanted now was one thing: a warm hug from his mom.

But his mom was busy—she was cleaning their space, preparing fruit, and keeping everything tidy for her little one. Ricky sat near the corner, watching her every move, his tiny hands clutching his favorite blanket. The longer he waited, the more his little face started to twist into a frown.

His eyes welled up with tears as he slowly walked toward her, softly whimpering at first. But the moment his mom moved away again to grab something else, Ricky let out a loud, heartbreaking cry. He stood still, arms stretched out, reaching toward her as if he could pull her into the hug he needed so badly.

“Mom… please,” his eyes seemed to say, even though he couldn’t speak.

Hearing his cry, his mom quickly turned back, surprised to see his teary little face. She rushed over, scooped him into her arms, and held him close. Ricky buried his face in her shoulder, finally feeling safe again.

The moment was short, but full of emotion. His sobs quieted, his breath calmed, and his little tail wrapped tightly around her.

Sometimes, even the busiest moments can pause for love—and for Ricky, all it took was one sincere cry to remind mom that a hug could fix everything.
