The Man Treats Monkey Leo’s Finger Injury

Monkey Leo sat on a wooden ledge, whimpering softly as he held up his tiny hand. His injured finger was swollen and red, a painful reminder of the accident that had happened earlier. He had been playing too rough, swinging from a low tree branch when he lost his grip and landed awkwardly.

The man, Leo’s caretaker, noticed his distress and quickly approached. “Oh, Leo, what happened?” he asked, his voice filled with concern. He knelt down, gently reaching for Leo’s hand. The baby monkey hesitated, his big eyes filled with uncertainty. He didn’t want anyone to touch his sore finger, but the pain was too much to ignore.

“It’s okay, buddy. I’ll be gentle,” the man reassured him. Slowly, he took out a small first-aid kit, his movements careful and deliberate. He cleaned the wound with warm water, using a soft cloth to remove the dirt. The cool water soothed Leo’s pain, and he blinked, watching closely.

Next came the antiseptic. Leo flinched, pulling his hand back with a tiny squeal. The sting was unexpected, and he pouted, shaking his head as if to say, “No more!” But the man chuckled, holding out a piece of banana as a distraction. The promise of a treat was too tempting, and Leo reluctantly let him continue.

With a delicate touch, the man applied a small bandage, wrapping Leo’s finger securely. “There you go, all better,” he said with a smile, giving the little monkey a gentle pat on the head.

Leo inspected his bandaged finger, flexing it carefully. The pain was still there, but he trusted his human friend. With a happy chirp, he grabbed the banana and scurried onto the man’s shoulder, rubbing his head against him in gratitude.
