The tiny newborn monkey was happily sucking on her little fingers, feeling warm and safe. It was her favorite thing to do—it made her feel calm, just like being with her real mom in the wild.
But today, mom decided it was time to stop. Too much sucking could hurt her tiny fingers, so mom gently wrapped a soft tape around her little hand to protect them.
That’s when the drama started!
As soon as the baby realized she couldn’t suck on her fingers anymore, her tiny eyes widened in shock. What is this?! Why can’t I feel my fingers?!
She wiggled, squirmed, and tried to pull her hand free, but the tape was still there!
Then, the anger kicked in.
“WAAAAAHHH!” she screamed at the top of her lungs, kicking her tiny feet and shaking her head furiously. Her little face turned red with frustration. “Mom, what did you do to me?!”
She tried to bite at the tape, pulling at it with her tiny mouth, but it wouldn’t come off. Now she was really mad!
Mom watched with a loving but firm expression. “Sweetheart, it’s for your own good. You need to stop sucking too much,” she said softly.
But the baby wasn’t listening. She cried louder, wiggled harder, and made sure mom knew just how unfair this was!
After a few minutes, exhausted from all the crying, she finally gave up. Snuggling into mom’s chest, she huffed angrily, her tiny body still pouting.
Mom kissed her soft head. “It’s okay, baby. I love you.”
And even though she was mad, the newborn slowly drifted off to sleep—still a little grumpy but safe in mom’s arms.
