The morning was peaceful, with the soft rustling of leaves and the chirping of birds. But in one corner of the yard, a tiny baby monkey named Bibi sat on the ground, tears welling in her eyes. She looked around desperately, searching for her mother, who was busy gathering food nearby.
Bibi whimpered, then let out a loud cry. “Maaamaaa!” she sobbed, her little hands clinging to the wooden post beside her. She rocked back and forth, her face scrunching up in sadness.
Her mother glanced at her from a distance but continued her task. She knew Bibi was just seeking attention, but she wanted to teach her to be patient. However, Bibi couldn’t understand. She only felt lonely and ignored.
With each passing second, her cries grew louder. She crawled forward, reaching out her tiny hands as if begging her mom to come pick her up. Her tail trembled as she stomped her tiny feet in frustration.
Finally, her mom sighed and walked over, scooping Bibi up into her arms. The moment she felt her mother’s warmth, Bibi immediately calmed down, her sobs turning into soft hiccups. She buried her face in her mother’s chest, holding on tightly.
Her mom gently patted her back, whispering, “Shh, little one. Mommy is here.”
Feeling safe and loved, Bibi nuzzled against her, her tiny fingers playing with her mom’s fur. Within moments, her tears had dried, replaced by a sleepy, satisfied smile. All she ever wanted was her mother’s love—and now, she had it.
