Lina was a tiny baby monkey, full of emotions and endless energy. But today, she was not happy at all. She wanted her mommy to hold her, to cuddle her close, but her mom was busy doing other things. That made Lina very, very upset.
She sat on the floor, her small arms stretched out, waiting for her mom to lift her. But when her mom didn’t pick her up, Lina’s face twisted in frustration. She let out a loud, ear-piercing scream. Her tiny body shook as she cried, her little hands hitting the floor in protest.
“Mommy, pick me up!” Her cries seemed to say. But her mom only looked at her, shaking her head gently, as if to tell Lina that she needed to be patient.
Lina didn’t care about patience. She wanted to be in her mom’s arms right now! She threw herself backward on the floor, kicking her tiny legs and screaming even louder. Tears rolled down her cheeks, and she let out soft, sad sobs.
A few moments passed, but her mom still didn’t pick her up. Instead, she sat close and gently rubbed Lina’s back, trying to calm her down. At first, Lina resisted, pushing her mom’s hand away, still crying. But slowly, as her mom hummed softly and stroked her fur, Lina began to relax.
She sniffled, her cries turning into small whimpers. Finally, she crawled toward her mom, resting her head against her warm chest. Even though she didn’t get picked up right away, she still felt safe and loved.
