Dad thought he was going to enjoy a peaceful afternoon with his little monkey Luna, but he quickly discovered that spending time with this naughty baby could turn into a wild adventure! Luna had been running around, climbing over everything she could reach, and demanding Dad’s attention every few seconds. Whenever Dad tried to relax, she would come bouncing back, ready to start another game.
“Luna, sweetheart, come here and sit with Daddy for a moment,” he called gently.
Little Luna looked at him with her bright, curious eyes. For a second, she seemed ready to behave. Dad smiled and carefully brought her closer, thinking that perhaps his energetic little girl was finally ready for some cuddles.

Dad carefully placed her in a safe position away from his face and checked his skin. He was frustrated by the scratch, but he knew that frightening or roughly handling Luna would not help the situation. Instead, he took a breath and spoke to her in a calm, firm voice.
“No scratching, little girl. Gentle hands!”
Luna stared at him, her tiny head tilted to one side. She looked almost offended that Daddy had interrupted her game. Her little mouth opened, and she made a series of loud noises, seemingly determined to make her feelings known.
Dad couldn’t help shaking his head. “Oh, Luna, you really are a handful!”
For a few minutes, Luna settled down. Dad thought the trouble was finally over, so he sat nearby and watched her explore her toys. She picked up one object, examined it, dropped it, and immediately reached for something else. Her curiosity never seemed to end.
Then she spotted Dad again.
With a playful little bounce, Luna moved toward him, looking ready for another round of mischief. Dad immediately remembered what had happened earlier and carefully kept her hands away from his face.
“Not today, my naughty girl!” he said, gently redirecting her attention toward a toy.
Luna grabbed the toy and began playing with it. For the first time that afternoon, Dad could relax a little. He watched her tiny fingers explore the object, relieved that she was occupied with something safer.
However, Luna soon dropped the toy and looked back at him. She crawled closer, making soft little sounds as if asking him to play again. Dad offered her a gentle interaction while keeping enough distance to protect his face.
After a while, Luna’s excitement began to fade. She sat quietly, looking around the room with sleepy eyes. Dad checked his scratch again, cleaned the affected area, and made sure it wasn’t near his eye or showing signs of a more serious injury.
Although the incident had been painful, Dad understood that Luna was still learning how to interact safely. Baby monkeys can scratch during play, and their behavior requires careful supervision. He decided to keep playtime gentle, avoid encouraging rough movements, and seek advice from an appropriate animal-care professional about managing her scratching.
Finally, Luna settled beside him, looking as innocent as if she had never caused any trouble at all. Dad looked at her tiny face and let out a long sigh.
“Little Luna, how can someone so small cause so much chaos?”
Luna responded with a cheerful little sound, making Dad laugh despite himself.
But Dad knew he needed to stay alert. One moment, Luna could be the sweetest little companion in the world; the next, her sharp nails could turn an ordinary afternoon into a dramatic adventure!
