Poor Baby Jasmine Sleeps Backward on the Floor, Begging Jueur to Pick Her Up

Baby Jasmine was having one of those mornings when she wanted nothing more than to be held in someone’s loving arms. She had just finished playing, but instead of sitting quietly on her soft blanket, she suddenly leaned backward and lay down on the floor, looking up at Jueur with her big, hopeful eyes.
“Jueur! Pick me up!” Jasmine seemed to beg, stretching her little arms toward him.
Jueur looked down and smiled. “Oh, Jasmine, what are you doing down there? Are you asking me for a cuddle?”
Jasmine wiggled her body and reached up again. When Jueur didn’t immediately lift her, she made a tiny unhappy sound and turned her face away dramatically, as if the whole world had disappointed her.
Jueur couldn’t help laughing softly. “You really want me to carry you, don’t you?”
Jasmine answered with another little cry. She rolled backward on the soft floor, waving her hands and kicking her feet gently. Her expression was so serious that Jueur knew she wasn’t interested in playing by herself anymore. She wanted attention, warmth, and the comfort of being close to someone she trusted.
“Alright, little sweetheart. I’m here,” Jueur said.
He crouched beside her and checked that she was comfortable and safe. Then he gently supported her body and picked her up, keeping her close to his chest. Jasmine immediately wrapped her little arms around him and nestled against his shoulder.
At last, she seemed satisfied.
Jueur rubbed her back gently. “There we go. You just wanted a hug!”
Jasmine rested her head against him, blinking sleepily. A moment earlier, she had been rolling around and asking to be picked up. Now that she was safely in his arms, all her dramatic complaints seemed to disappear.
Jueur carried her to a cozy resting spot and sat down beside her. He kept one hand gently supporting her while Jasmine snuggled into the soft blanket. Her eyes slowly began to close, but every time Jueur shifted slightly, she lifted her head to make sure he was still nearby.
“I’m not going anywhere just yet,” he whispered reassuringly.
Jasmine gave a tiny yawn and settled down again. Soon, her breathing became slow and peaceful as she drifted into a comfortable nap.
Jueur smiled at the little bundle resting beside him. He knew that sometimes Jasmine wanted to explore the world, and sometimes she simply wanted the reassurance of a familiar presence. Today, all she needed was a little patience and a gentle cuddle.
And as Jasmine slept peacefully, Jueur stayed close, making sure she was comfortable and safe.
Sometimes, the smallest cries are simply a little one’s way of asking for comfort, patience, and love.
