Tiny Cheekie was already having a very impatient morning. He had been waiting quietly while Mommy prepared his milk, but the moment he spotted the bottle in her hand, his whole expression changed.
His little eyes became wide.
“Eeeee! Eeee!”
Cheekie immediately reached both tiny hands toward the bottle. He wanted his milk right now.
“Wait a little, sweetheart,” Mommy said gently. “Mommy is coming.”
But Cheekie wasn’t interested in waiting anymore.
He hurried toward the bottle, stretching his tiny arms as far as he could. His little fingers opened and closed impatiently, trying to grab it before Mommy could even finish preparing him.
“Eeeee!”
Mommy smiled. “Oh my goodness, you’re really hungry today!”
Cheekie made another impatient sound and reached again. He looked at the bottle, then at Mommy, then back at the bottle. His message was very clear: Milk!
Mommy made sure he was safely positioned before offering the bottle. As soon as it came within reach, Cheekie grabbed it eagerly with both hands.
His angry expression suddenly disappeared.
He began drinking.
Mommy laughed softly. “So that’s what all the screaming was about!”
Cheekie continued drinking happily, holding the bottle as if he were afraid someone might take it away. His tiny body gradually relaxed, and the impatient little noises stopped.
Mommy gently stroked his head.
“There you go, little Cheekie. You didn’t need to hurry so much.”
Cheekie paused and looked up at her for a second.
Then he immediately went back to drinking.
After his milk, he looked completely satisfied. The little monkey who had been impatiently grabbing and crying moments earlier was now calm and sleepy, resting comfortably beside Mommy.
Mommy smiled and gently cleaned his little face.
“What a dramatic little milk lover you are!”
Cheekie gave one tiny satisfied squeak before cuddling closer.
His morning tantrum was officially over—the milk bottle had won.
