It had been a long and emotional journey for little Yuri. When he first arrived at his new home, everything felt strange. The unfamiliar room, the new sounds, and especially the woman who kept gently trying to care for him made him nervous. Mommy never forced him to come closer. She simply stayed nearby, speaking softly and giving him plenty of time to become comfortable.
Day after day, Mommy prepared his appropriate meals, kept his space warm and clean, and quietly watched over him. Sometimes Yuri would glance at her from across the room before quickly looking away. Whenever she offered her hand, he would hesitate. He seemed to be wondering whether he could really trust her.
One morning, something finally changed.
