Poor little Minea was having a very emotional morning.

The tiny baby monkey had been resting comfortably when she noticed Mommy nearby. Minea immediately reached out with her little hands, hoping to be picked up and held close.

But Mommy was busy for a moment.

She needed to finish preparing Minea’s resting area before she could give her all the attention she wanted.

Minea didn’t understand.

She looked at Mommy.

Then she reached out again.

Nothing happened.

Her tiny face became sad.

“Eeeee! Eeeee!”

Minea suddenly let out a sharp cry.

Mommy looked over immediately.

“Oh, Minea, sweetheart. What happened?”

Minea stretched both arms toward her.

“Eeee! Eeee!”

Her cries became louder and more pitiful. She kept looking at Mommy as if trying to explain exactly what she wanted.

She didn’t want food.

She didn’t want a toy.

She simply wanted to be close to Mommy.

Mommy smiled gently and came over.

“I know, little girl. You want Mommy to hold you.”

Minea answered with another tiny scream.

Mommy sat beside her and offered a reassuring hand.

Minea grabbed her finger immediately.

Her cries softened for a moment, but she still looked unhappy.

“You’re still waiting for your cuddle, aren’t you?” Mommy whispered.

Minea looked up at her with watery eyes.

Mommy stayed close and finished what she needed to do while keeping Minea safely beside her. She understood that a very young baby might cry when she wants reassurance or closeness, and that patience and gentle responses could help her feel secure.

When everything was ready, Mommy carefully picked Minea up and held her securely.

The change was immediate.

Minea’s sharp cries became soft little whimpers.

Her tiny body relaxed against Mommy.

“Oh, there you go,” Mommy whispered. “You just needed some love.”

Minea tucked her face against Mommy and held on tightly.

Mommy gently stroked her back.

“Were you really that sad because Mommy couldn’t pick you up right away?”

Minea made a tiny sound.

Mommy smiled.

“I heard you, sweetheart.”

For several minutes, Mommy simply stayed with her. There was no rushing and no teasing. Minea was allowed to calm down while feeling warm and secure.

Gradually, her little breathing became peaceful.

Her hands stopped waving.

Her worried expression disappeared.

Minea looked up at Mommy one more time before resting her head against her.

Mommy whispered, “You can always let me know when you need comfort. Sometimes Mommy has to do something first, but that doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten you.”

Minea closed her eyes.

The sharp cries that had filled the room only minutes earlier were gone.

Now there was only the quiet sound of her breathing.

Mommy smiled as she watched the little baby relax.

Minea had not been trying to be difficult. She simply had big feelings inside her tiny body and didn’t yet have words to explain them.

Sometimes her loudest cry was really just a little message:

“Mommy, please hold me. I need you.”

And once she felt safe in Mommy’s arms, Minea had nothing left to complain about.

She simply snuggled closer and peacefully drifted off to sleep.
