Mom hurried into the room after hearing the heartbreaking cries.
“Oh poor baby Selena…”
The moment Mom picked her up into warm loving arms, the loud crying instantly weakened into tiny shaky sniffles.
Safe again.
Selena clung tightly against Mom’s chest while tiny tears still rested on her cheeks, finally comforted after waiting so sadly alone.
