The morning was quiet—until little Dodo’s cries filled the room.
“Ahhh! Ahhh!”
His tiny voice echoed loudly as he sat there, his small body shaking with hunger. His stomach felt empty, and to him, every second without milk felt far too long.
He couldn’t wait.
Not even a little.
Tears rolled down his cheeks as he reached forward with both hands, searching for the comfort he needed most. His little legs kicked impatiently, his whole body full of frustration.
“Ma… ma…” he cried, his voice breaking.
He wanted Mom.
He wanted food.
Now.
In another room, Mom heard him immediately.
That cry—sharp, desperate, familiar—meant only one thing.
She rushed in.
“Oh, Dodo…” she whispered, seeing his tearful face and trembling body.
The moment he saw her, he cried even louder, as if finally releasing all the waiting he had been holding inside. His tiny hands stretched toward her, desperate to be picked up.
“I’m here, baby,” she said softly, lifting him into warm arms.
Dodo clung tightly, still sobbing, his little face pressed against her as she quickly prepared his milk. Every second still felt too long for him, but now he knew help had come.
Then finally—
The bottle.
As soon as it touched his lips, everything changed.
He latched on eagerly, drinking fast, his loud cries fading into quiet gulps. His body slowly relaxed, the tension melting away with every sip.
Tears still clung to his cheeks, but the storm had passed.
Held close in Mom’s arms, Dodo found what he needed most—
Not just milk…
But the comfort of knowing she would always come when he called.
