Little baby Ricky was watching Mom carefully as she walked around the room. His big eyes followed every step she made because he always loved staying close to her.
But then Mom started walking away.
At first, Ricky looked confused. He sat there quietly for a moment, trying to understand where she was going.
When Mom kept moving farther away, his tiny face suddenly changed.
“Eeeee! Eeeee!”
Ricky burst into very loud crying.
The small baby monkey quickly stood up and began jumping after Mom. His tiny feet bounced across the floor as he rushed to follow her, still crying loudly and reaching his little arms forward.
He didn’t want Mom to go without him.
Ricky kept jumping and hurrying behind her, trying his best to catch up. His cries grew louder and more desperate with every step Mom took.
“Eeeeeee!”
His little hands stretched upward, clearly asking to be picked up.
Finally, Mom stopped and turned around.
The moment Ricky saw her facing him, he jumped one more time and lifted both arms high in the air. Mom smiled softly and bent down to pick him up.
As soon as Ricky was in her arms, the loud crying stopped almost immediately.
He wrapped his tiny arms around Mom’s neck and rested his head against her shoulder, finally feeling safe again.
Sometimes baby Ricky doesn’t want toys or food.
He just wants Mom to carry him wherever she goes.
