BB Panics Over Getting Dressed

Comments Off on BB Panics Over Getting Dressed

Queen BB, the spoiled little monkey everyone adored, always believed she ruled the house. She had a personality bigger than her tiny body — loud, dramatic, emotional, and incredibly expressive. But there was one thing she absolutely hated: getting dressed. Whenever Mom tried to put on a little shirt or outfit, BB acted like it was the end of the world.

This morning was no different. Mom picked up a cute tiny dress and called BB gently. Instead of coming happily, BB froze. Her eyes widened, tail stiffened, and within seconds her mouth opened wide — she let out a loud scream that echoed like thunder in the house. Her little arms waved wildly, pushing the cloth away as though it were a monster. She didn’t want it touching her fur, not today, not ever.

Mom tried to calm her, speaking softly, rubbing her back. But BB twisted, rolled on the floor, then climbed onto Mom’s shoulder only to scream in her ear — a royal tantrum from a tiny queen. She didn’t understand why she had to wear clothes when she was perfect already. The moment Mom slipped the dress over her head, BB cried even louder, stamping her feet with frustration. It wasn’t anger alone — she was scared, confused, uncomfortable.

So Mom stopped forcing. Instead, she sat beside BB, offering warmth and patience. She let BB sniff the fabric, touch it, play with it. Slowly the fear faded. Mom kissed her forehead gently and spoke sweet words, reminding her she was safe. When Mom finally dressed her carefully, BB didn’t scream — she merely whined softly, then rested in Mom’s arms, exhausted from emotions.

Later she looked in the mirror, blinking curiously. She looked adorable — like a tiny princess.

Sometimes, fear only needs love to soften it.
