Linda’s Tantrum

Comments Off on Linda’s Tantrum

Little Linda was never shy about showing her feelings, and that day her emotions spilled out louder than ever. When her mom tried to step away, just for a short moment, Linda’s tiny world felt like it was falling apart.

She wanted nothing more than to follow her mom wherever she went. But instead, she was left behind for a moment, and her heart couldn’t handle it. With a sharp squeal, Linda threw herself onto the floor, her little arms and legs kicking wildly. Her face crumpled with anger and tears, her cries piercing the air as if she were shouting, “I want to go with you, Mom! Don’t leave me!”

The tantrum grew fiercer as she rolled on the floor, her tiny fists pounding with frustration. She was stubborn—so stubborn—that nothing else mattered except being with the one she loved most. The other monkeys peeked over, curious and a little amused, but for Linda this was no game. This was her way of fighting for love.

Her mom returned quickly, her eyes soft with patience. She knelt down, scooping Linda up into her arms. At once, the little monkey’s anger began to melt. Her loud cries quieted to hiccups, her tiny fingers gripping tightly onto her mother’s fur as though she’d never let go again.

Though Linda’s tantrum had been loud and stubborn, it was only proof of how deeply she loved her mom. She didn’t want distance, not even for a minute. In her heart, being near her mother meant safety, comfort, and love. And even through tears and anger, her mom understood—sometimes a tantrum is just another way of saying, “Please don’t leave me.”
