Baloo, the strong and watchful monkey, sat perched on a thick tree branch, his sharp eyes scanning the tourists walking nearby. Unlike the playful baby monkeys, Baloo was a mature and serious protector of his troop.
As a group of tourists approached, chatting and laughing, one man stretched out his hand, holding a small snack. He grinned, expecting Baloo to come forward and grab it eagerly.
But Baloo didn’t move. Instead, he stared directly at the man, his expression stern. His lips pressed tightly together, and his dark eyes held an unmistakable message: “Do not test me.”
The tourist chuckled nervously and waved the snack again. Some of the smaller monkeys nearby chattered excitedly, their curiosity piqued. But Baloo stood his ground, his tail flicking in irritation.
Then, in a flash, he stood up tall, his chest puffed out, and let out a deep, warning grunt. The jungle seemed to go quiet for a moment.
The man froze. His hand dropped slightly as he exchanged glances with his friends. He had thought it was just a fun game, but now he realized—Baloo wasn’t joking.
The other monkeys, sensing Baloo’s authority, also stayed back. Baloo narrowed his eyes, still watching. No sudden moves. No foolishness.
Finally, the tourist got the message. With a nervous laugh, he stepped back, tucking the snack into his pocket.
Baloo, satisfied, relaxed his stance but kept his watchful eye on them. The jungle was his home, and he wasn’t about to let anyone disrupt its peace.
