Little Timo was an adventurous baby monkey. He loved exploring the jungle, swinging from trees, and finding hidden treasures near the riverbank. One afternoon, as he wandered too close to the water, something shiny caught his eye. It was a fishing net, tangled between the rocks.
Curious, Timo scampered down and poked at it. But as he stepped forward, his tiny foot got caught in the net. He tried to pull away, but the more he struggled, the tighter it wrapped around him.
“Help!” Timo cried, his small voice shaking with fear. He wriggled, but the net only trapped him further.
The jungle was quiet for a moment, but then the rustling of leaves signaled hope—his mother, Rina, had heard him! She came running, her heart pounding as she saw her little one trapped.
“Oh, Timo!” she gasped, kneeling beside him. “Don’t move too much, sweetheart. I’ll get you out.”
Rina carefully inspected the tangled net. It was wrapped around Timo’s tiny arms and legs, making it hard for him to move. Just then, a wise old turtle named Boro appeared. “I saw some humans leave that net behind,” he said. “But don’t worry, we’ll free him.”
With great care, Rina and Boro worked together, using their teeth and claws to untangle the knots. It took time, but finally—snap!—Timo was free!
Timo jumped into his mother’s arms, tears in his eyes. “I was so scared, Mama.”
Rina hugged him tight. “You’re safe now, my love. But remember, never go near strange things alone.”
As they walked back home, Timo promised to be more careful. And from that day on, the jungle animals made sure no more nets were left behind, keeping their home safe for all.
